What is Farnsworth-Munsell 100 hue test ?
The Farnsworth-Munsell 100 hue test is one of the most famous color vision tests available. It belongs to the group of hue discrimination, human visual system often used to test for color blindness,also called arrangement tests.Color discrimination is independent of color defectiveness so it’s possible for some people with average scores to have poorer color discrimination than those with color vision defects. People with average scores may have good or poor color discrimination; those with color defects may have good or poor discrimination.

An accurate quantification of color vision accuracy is particularly important to designers, photographers colorists, merchandisers, fabric/garment inspectors and dyeing staff or anyone else, who all rely on accurate color vision to produce quality content.
Frequency to perform FM- Hue 100 test ?
Inspectors / designers / colorists once in three month.Other It is recommended to perform this test at least twice in a year / every 6th months.
How to Judge your performance?
The overall error score relates more or less to the severity of your color vision deficiency. Based on the error score to compute the so called main confusion axis, which can be used to detect the Polar and Linear type.
What are the test requirements?
The test is intended to be administered on a black background to prevent surroundings from affecting the color perception by the patient. Illuminants types D65 is suggested for a calibrated and accurate color vision test result. The illumination should provide approximately 6280° Kelvin at 25 foot-candles or greater (Illuminant C) or daylight.
